HOUSE OF MOOK opened its shiny steel doors to the Leeds Music Community at the back end of 2000 by throwing a raucous party with free beer courtesy of Carling. Situated in Authorpe Road (opposite the Becketts pub in Meanwood, and only a couple of minutes' drive from the centre of Headingley, the studios combine rehearsal, recording and equipment storage space with an in-house record label and video production facilities.

Our 3 purpose-built isolated rehearsal rooms all include vocal PAs and 2 mics, with backline, drums, additional mics and generous lock up gear units available as extras. And when we say isolated we mean isolated - none of the practice rooms adjoin, so even if there's a death metal band in one room and a folk rock duo in another, there'll be no disturbance (we know how annoying those folky nasal tones can be to you metal merchants!)

Basic room hire is from £6.00 to £8.00 per hour, but we offer discounted rates (three hours for the price of two) for daytime sessions (Monday-Friday ) before 6pm and for block bookings (10 hours + in a week).
